Cyndi Wheeler

(she/her)

Cyndi joined the BAYS board in February 2026 and currently serves as Vice President. For her, BAYS represents connection, shared experience, and the power of community during uncertain moments, and she is committed to helping sustain that space for others.

Cyndi was diagnosed and treated for Stage IIb breast cancer in 2013 after discovering a lump in her breast. She was later diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic disease in 2024 after seeking treatment for a torn labrum. Navigating both early-stage and metastatic cancer has shaped her perspective on resilience, advocacy, and the need for honest, compassionate support. Through BAYS-MITC, she values the opportunity to connect with others who understand the complexity of living with a metastatic cancer diagnosis and to contribute to a community that meets members where they are.

Cyndi also serves on the board of ChIPs Network, an organization that advances and connects women leaders in technology, law, and policy. She lives in Marin with her husband and two dogs and enjoys traveling, hiking, Olympic-style weightlifting, Pilates, and photography.
